What is great about this book is that from the outset is shuts the obscure, the limited and the ridiculously expensive. 101 Whiskies To Try Before You Die ($15) is a book pulled together by the whiskey expert Ian Buxton that is totally achievable, which is probably a first amongst this kind of book. He has scoured the whiskey warehouses of the world to come up with a eclectic mix of old faves, promising newcomers and those that are readily available but still hold a sense of mystery. A great book for anyone fond of a dram or two as we go on a virtual world tour of whisky; Sláinte!
