The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor ($TBA) is a beast and I can’t wait to see this thing hit the road. Ford says the, “All-New F-150 Raptor Is Ford’s Toughest, Smartest, Most Capable Truck For Ultimate Off-Road Performance”. This new trucks features some pretty impressive specs including, a high-strength steel frame specific to the Raptor, and a high-strength, military-grade aluminum-alloy body that saves almost 500 lbs over the previous model. The power plant is a 3.5-liter Ecoboost engine with greater output than the current 411-horse, 434 lb-ft torque, 6.2 liter V8. The engine is paired with 10-speed transmission.
Additional features include advanced LED lighting, camera technology for improved visibility during the day or night, large FOX racing shox that provide greater suspension travel, a terrain management system and all-terrain KO2 tires to take on the toughest trails, and an additional 6-inches of width for added stability. This bad boy will be built at the Dearborn, Michigan truck plant and will go on sale in the fall of 2016.
