The Cayman models have come a long way. Because the trim levels start around $50K Cayman was considered to be a poor man's Porsche. But they've just released their first GTS version and are doing a great job shedding that rep. The new 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS ($75,000+) gets updated interior, exterior, and most importantly performance features.
The GTS features matte-black exterior inserts as well as blackout headlamp and taillamp covers. It sits on 20-inch Carrera S 235/35 front and 265/35 rear wheels, and features a sport exhaust system with black pipes. On the interior you'll get an Alcantara wrapped steering wheel, and sport seats with the letters 'GTS' embroidered into the headrests.
As fars as the power plant goes, you'll get a six-speed manual or seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission paired with a 3.4 liter flat-six engine with direct fuel injection. This setup will get you 340 horses that can reach 60 mph in 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 177 mph.
If you're in the city and looking for a fixie or a single gear for your daily commute, boy do I have a bike for you. The very first thing you notice about the Goldencycle 2PRO Bicycle ($555) are the gold rims, cranks, seat post, and handlebars. These gold components aren't just for looks, but the gold anodization process makes the aluminum components about 8 times harder and provides a more effective protective surface. Paired with these components is a classic matte steel frame that resists dirt and dust, allowing the bike to keep its killer looks for a long time. Additional features include a GULI gold anodized FlipFlop hub, for either fixed gear or free-running modes, and front Winzip Race 400 dual pivot quick release brakes. Now if you're in one of the bigger cities like New York or London, you'll definitely want to check out post on 'The Best Bike Locks' because you'll need one if you plan on leaving this bad boy on the street for any length of time.
Staying in shape has never been easier. But don't stop there, the Big Rig Pedal Desk ($2000+) also puts your legs to other uses while you get some work done. It's handmade from welded steel frames, bicycle parts, and an optional generator. The generator can generate 100 watts of electricity, pump 5 gallons of water per minute, grind a variety of grains, or operate an air compressor. It can also operate almost any hand-cranked machine or small shop tools. So forget about that spin class and go for The Big Rig.
When you see a DP Customs motorcycle you know it right away. It's not something obvious, its just in the DNA of their bikes. The Racer by DP Customs ($TBA) is no different. It started off as a 1200 cc Evo with dual plug heads and takes inspiration from the Brabham BT44 with a Martini Racing livery. They lowered the handlebars to give the gas tank front stage and made a filter cover inspired by the roof scoops of the Brabham. Additional features include a custom exhaust, single-fire ignition and additions from Bitwell.(more…)
