You remember Lytro's original camera. It looked like one of those keychain viewers you would get at the amusement park. Although it looked like a toy it held some amazing technology that allowed you to focus an image after it was processed using Lytro's special software. The Lytro Illum ($1599) builds on that tech and has new looks to boot. The Illum looks like a standard camera with a telephoto lens. The Illum features cutting edge optics, a larger sensor and a lens that is lighter, has a larger zoom range and a bigger aperture than comparable conventional cameras. You can now pre-order the Lytro Illum on their website for $1499. It will be going on sale for full retail on July 15th.
The Bootlegger Modular Pack System ($50+) provides the adventurer with the right pack whatever the activity. The Scrimshaw Dry Pack, a fully submersible bag for your wettest activities. And the Torpedo Pack which includes a hydration system for trail running, cycling, and hiking. The Zarooq Sand Racer ($100K) is a street legal dune racer. It is also the first production series car made in the UAE. It features a carbon fiber interior and exterior, that also includes an infotainment system and LED lights. The engine is a 3.5-liter V6 that will push 300-500 horses. It's paired with a 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters. Stopping power is provided by 240 mm ventilated brakes with an adjustable front-rear bias. The one surprising detail is the car comes with rear-wheel drive. I would need a dune racing expert to speak up, but I would think all-wheel or four-wheel drive would be better bets for a dune racer.
