For all of those who fell asleep with boredom during history at school this is the movie to fill in the gaps, as seen by Mel Brooks. Both written and directed by Mel Brooks, History of the World Part One ($12) takes a comedic look at the history of mankind, using a series of very funny vignettes to take us on a madcap journey from the Old Testament through to the bloody French Revolution. Brooks is joined by several comic genius' including Gregory Hines and Dom DeLuise and the result is something very special.

Too many movies sugar coat things and make it look unrealistic. Drugstore Cowboy ($8) is not one of those movies. Directed by Gus Von Sant and starring Matt Dillon, Kelly Lynch, and James LeGros, this movie is a realistic road film about a drug addict's life, his 'family', and the group's inevitable downward spiral into crime. Men who prefer the more realistic movies will appreciate the brilliance of this movie because it doesn't gloss over anything or rely on unrealistic expectations on the part of the audience. This is something that sets it apart from other movies of this genre and helps it continue to be relevant today.

Coming in February of 2016, the Deadpool Movie ($TBA), looks to be a guaranteed blockbuster. After viewing the trailer, it became apparent the casting of Ryan Renolds as the comically maniacal superhero was spot on. He brings a sense of ease and humor in even the most violent scenes.So how did Wade become Deadpool? For those that don't know the back story before he was Deadpool, he was Special Forces operative turned gun for hire Wade Wilson. After finding out he was dying from cancer, he submitted to a rogue experiment that gave him accelerated healing powers. Armed with new abilities he goes after the guy who destroyed his life as his new alter ego, Deadpool.Just a reminder the trailer does contain extreme violence and cursing.
Bob Burnquist is a Brazilian pro skateboarder who is known for switch stance skateboarding and innovative tricks on the vert. He once completed a BASE jump after attempting a 50-50 into the Grand Canyon and now he's skating on water. Well not really, but he's built a floating ramp out in Lake Tahoe. The hole project took about 300 man hours to complete. His montra is to believe in things strong enough to make them happen.
