Be.e ($TBA) is an electric scooter made from hemp. That sounds really cool, but it is also extremely environmentally green. The Be.e’s body is made from hemp, flax and bio-resin. The use of this material and the manufacturing process cuts the scooters carbon footprint and eliminates a number of parts needed to construct a standard scooter. The Be.e’s electric motor can be driven for two hours or up to 60 km and can be fully charged in under three hours. The Dutch startup Van.eko will not be selling these but using a pay-per use solution that will allow riders to rent the Be.e by the week, or month.
