I unapologetically love my Yukon Denali. It's big, black and beautiful. The specs for the 2015 GMC Yukon ($TBA) have just been released and it looks like they made some nice updates. Base models will start off with the 5.3-liter V8 355 HP engine, which will produce about 383 foot pounds of torque. The Denali will get a 6.2 litter V8, 420 horses, and 460 foot pounds of torque. Some of the features I'm most excited about are the addition of fold-flat rear seats, with a power option, dual-screen, Blu-Ray rear-seat entertainment systems and two extra inches of leg room for the rear passengers. The 2015's will be released early in 2014. More pics after the break.(more…)
The holocaust of WWII has been the backdrop of many a great movie, but there has never been one that looked at it quite like Schindler's List ($17). In war torn Poland, Oskar Schindler becomes increasingly concerned for his Jewish workforce after seeing for himself how they are being persecuted by the Nazis. He uses his contacts, and a lot of bribery, to ensure that he keeps Jews on his employment list and thus saves them from the horror of the gas chambers. Directed by Steven Spielberg and boasting outstanding performances from Liam Neeson, Ben Kingsley and Ralph Fiennes, it is Liam Neeson and supporting actor for Fiennes.
If you are a fan of beer you will love this book. A comprehensive and brilliantly illustrated volume on all things beer related, it is way more than merely an in depth history of the world's favorite beverage. The World Atlas of Beer ($15) takes us from its origins, through the various technologies that play a major part in the brewing process, the trends which have come and gone and much much more. From ancient times until the present day there is nothing missed out. We even get a detailed analogy of the over 500 great beers from across the globe.

Modscape creates beautifully simplistic prefabricated homes. The Cliff House by Modscape ($TBA) is their latest concept and it's absolutely breathtaking. The home was created as a vacation getaway and as a complete extension of the natural environment. It has five levels, where by the occupants would enter from the car port on the top level and work their way down each level. Top level 5 is the car port, level 4 is made up the main living area which includes the foyer, living room, dining room and kitchen, level 3 features two bedrooms and a bath, level 2 includes the master bed and bath, and the lowest level features the spa and barbecue areas. I just wonder what cliff side real estate is going for these days?
Based out of Oregon, CRKT has been in the knife making business for over twenty years. Wether you're looking for gear for tactical and survival situations or just for everyday use, you should be checking their products out first. Their latest is the CRKT Viva Pocket Multi-tool ($10). It was designed by Liong Mah and was made to hang just like a keychain via the ring with a sturdy finger retention. Made from stonewashed stainless steel and measuring just under 4 inches long it packs a ton of tools into a small package. These include a flathead screwdriver, a hex wrench with 5 different sizes, pry bar, and bottle opener.
