By the end of 2019, Volvo Cars have announced their intention to ensure that every single one of their cars released will be fitted with an electric motor. Bringing an end to the internal combustion vehicles that have served for decades. This announcement is one of the most significant from any car manufacturer to date and marks the beginning of a new era of motor vehicles. Five fully electrical run cars will be launched between 2019 and 2021 including 2 from the brand's high-performance range, Polestar. The cars will either be fitted with a petrol and diesel plug-in hybrid featuring a 48-volt engine. The move underlines Volvo's commitment to minimizing their impact on the environment.

What a brilliant idea. Sony has just killed two birds with one stone, with the release of the SONY LED LIGHT BULB SPEAKER ($199). The speaker has the model number "LSPX-100E26J" and will be released in Japan on May 23rd. It takes an LED light bulb and combines it with a Bluetooth speaker. The whole kit screws into a standard light bulb socket. You can control the 360-lumen light with a smartphone app that can control the volume of the speaker and the brightness of the light. The sound is delivered by a 40mm, 2-watt, full-range speaker. It won't blow your socks off, but should be good enough for some nice background music. The Light Bulb Speaker also comes with a remote control just in case you don't have a phone near by. No details yet on when it will be released to the states.
More than half a century after it's original release, this iconic spaghetti western is still considered one of the best ever made. One of the trilogy featuring Clint Eastwood as the man with no name, the other two being A Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More, the title characters of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly ($11) are Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef and Eli Wallach. Two men are forced to form an uneasy alliance with a third to see the ultimate prize of a fortune in gold buried in a remote ceremony. The masterful direction of Leone coupled with the cast, a dramatic setting and a damned good storyline make for a spectacular western that is as enjoyable today as it was back then.
An Apartment Design By Kataryzyna Kuo Stolarska And Kuoos Architects ($TBA) may be the most beautiful apartment I've every seen. The mixture of black and white is almost perfect and makes this a home you feel comfortable in despite its modern minimalist lines. The splash of yellow in the chairs in the kitchen would have never come to mind, but it works flawlessly. KUOOs Architects out of Poland are quickly making a name for themselves for their bold designs, as well as the interior designing Kataryzyna Kuo Stolarska. Her designs are simply amazing. I wonder if she'll consider making a trip out to Philly, I've got an office that needs a redo.
