Stockpile Designs is a New York based furniture company from designer Jake Wright that specializes in creating pieces which are based on "obsolete equipment and military-derived construction". Their latest is the Friendly Fire Lamp by Stockpile Designs ($800). The lamp is a perforated artillery round that is brightly polished on the outside while leaving the wear and tear displayed on the inside. A 12" incandescent bulb hangs from the lathe-turned wooden tip and casts light through the mesh. This light will make a great addition to any room in your house.
