I know, I know, it's too soon but I'm breaking out the cords. The J. Crew Vintage 484 Khaki Cord is one of my favorites. I paired it with J. Crew's classic Ludlow Legacy Blazer, their Midweight Denim shirt and a nice tie from The Tie Bar. The whole fit sits on a pair of beautiful Alden Indy boots.1. Blazer: J. For all the benefits of modern protective headwear but with a cool retro look, Hedonist Helmets ($460) are the perfect choice. Open-faced for that classic look, they feature a tough outer shell made from carbon fiber and fiberglass which provides the very best possible protection. They're also very comfortable, with microbial suede padded lining cushioning the head. Complete with a natural calf leather trim, you can choose from a wide range of colors before you head off into the sunset in real style.
The simple form of this record display is what makes it so beautiful. No additional detail has been added to distract from the beauty of the wood and the beauty of the display's form. The Record Display By Kai Takeshima ($CALL) is the perfect combination of form and function. It's made from walnut and features a brass rod stop near the front. Each section is 9" deep, and it holds about 290 records. Enough space for almost any home collection. Each of the shelves is tilted at 6 degrees to provide an optimal viewing angle when flipping through to find your favorites. Overall the display measures 26"dx43"wx46"h.
We just did an article on a Twin-Turbo 1970 Pontiac Firebird that was going up for auction in Chicago. That Firebird is an 1100hp beast. Now lets take a look at the modern 2015 Hennessey Supercharged Mustang ($60K) to see how it matches up. Just 500 of these will be built so if you want one you may need to hurry. The cars feature over 700 horses and 632 lb-ft of torque at 4400 rpm thanks to the HPE700 Supercharger that feeds a Coyote 5.0-liter 4-cammer. This setup will get you 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds, with the ability to produce an 11.2 second quarter mile at 131 mph. It's nice to know you can get near Supercar speed without spending millions.
The Ted 2 Official Trailer ($TBA) is out and it's cracking me up. The latest installment fast forwards to Ted marrying Tami-Lynn and in order to have a baby they have to prove that Ted is an actual person in a court of law. Ted 2 is directed by Seth MacFarlane of Family Guy fame who is also the voice of Ted. It stars Mark Wahlberg as Ted's best friend (John Bennett), Liam Neeson, and Amanda Seyfried as Ted's attorney (Samantha Jackson). Noticeably missing is Mila Kunis reprising her character as John's girlfriend. According to Seth it had nothing to do with scheduling and everything to do with where he wanted the direction of the plot to go. Ted 2 will be hitting theater on June 26th.
