The Sidewinder by Gray Design ($TBA) is the latest digitally imagined dune buggy concept from the Swedish Design Firm. The Project is the brainchild of CEO Eduard Gray. Their goal was to create a vehicle that would allow you to go from dune to dune in utmost luxury and style. The Sidewinder is powered by an LSX Bowtie big block engine which pushes 600 horses and has a top speed of 93mph.The high tech suspension features front and rear boxed chromoly arms, front and rear anti-sway bars, and 3.0 KING bypass shock absorbers to keep the driver an passengers level and handling perfectly no matter what the conditions. On the inside the driver is surrounded by an OLED infotainment center and display screens designed by Eduard Gray. The entire platform is Android-based which allows tuning by developers no matter where you are in the world. While the vehicle's own API allows you to access information from sensors and signals inside the vehicle. Here's hoping the concept actually gets off the drawing board and on to the dunes in the near future.
Designed to be every professional photographer’s dream house the Lightbox House ($NFS) lies within 180-acres of beautiful forested parkland with outstanding views. Modest and minimalistic in design it spans approx. 1500 square feet, perfectly laid out over two floors. The Lightbox House named so for its unique two-storey sunroom that is flooded with natural light, that shifts and dances as the hours pass by. But you wouldn’t want to spend all your time indoors when there is an ocean and deep woods within walking distance. This uniquely designed and innovative masterpiece is a work of art in its own right and one deserving on an exciting, adventurous young family.
Some children are just plain scary and none more so than those appearing in the latest zombie flick. Take a look at the Cooties Trailer ($TBA) and you'll see this isn't your usual horror. The Tudor Pelagos ($4,000) has been called the poor man's Rolex, but it is so much more. The Tudor watches are owned and made by Rolex. The primary difference in Rolex and Tudor watches is the movement. Rolex uses an in-house Rolex made movement, while Tudor uses base Swiss ETA movements. Otherwise, the Tudor has a lot going for it. The Tudor is the first titanium diver from the Rolex family, it has a 42mm titanium case, pointed crown guards, a matte ceramic bezel, and is?water-resistant to 500 meters. The clasp is spring-loaded and self-adjusting. It expands and contracts based on your movement, which makes the watch extremely comfortable. Because it's made for diving, it comes with an optional rubber strap and an extended rubber strap that is made to go over a diving suit. The Tudor Pelagos will save you about $4,000 compared to the Submariner. So you'll need to decide if the use of a different movement and loss of name recognition is worth it. Sadly the Tudor Pelagos is not sold in the United States, but I've found some for sale on eBay.
