It looks like the new Galaxy Gear Smartwatch ($299) will hit the market this year, beating Apple to the punch. The new Galaxy Gear will have a 1.63 inch screen and allow you to receive emails, take and share pictures, and download additional apps to provide more functionality. Technical specs include 512 megs of RAM and 4 gigs of memory. There are a couple of things you need to be aware of, the Gear only works with Samsung tablets or smartphones and battery life is limited to about 25 hours. The Galaxy Gear will be available in six colors when it hits stores.
