Have you ever driven to a new spot and really dependent on your nav. You’ve got a group of exits coming up and the nav screen looks like a plate of spaghetti. So you keep looking up and down between the highway and the screen to make sure you get off at the right spot. Not real safe. To fix this Garmin is coming out with their Garmin Head-up display ($130) to keep your eyes on the road. The Hud system pairs with your smartphone and communicates with either their Navigon or Streetpilot app. The system will display turn arrows, distance to next turn, current speed, graphic lane guidance and much more. The Garm HUD will be available this Summer.
The Smarty Ring ($100) takes the hassle out of looking at your phone every 5 minutes.
