If you love Triumphs, and you love Happy Days, then this is your lucky day because Fonzie's Happy Days Television Series 1949 Triumph Motorcycle ($100K) is up for auction on eBay. Cycle World writer Wendy F. Black was originally assigned to track the bike down for a story in 2000. One of her contacts, Bud Ekins, said there were three Triumph 500cc Trophies used on the show, two of which had gone missing. The one he knew about was sitting in plain site at Mean Mashall's Motorcycles in Oakland California. Marshall Ehlers, the shop owner, bought the bike from Ekins, who then put the bike up for auction on Bonhams. This bike is obviously as is and comes with all the scars that go with almost 70 years of age. The bike has been fully documented and vetted by Bonhams Auctions.
The original Robocop took place in a crime-ridden Detroit and a Peter Weller (RoboCop) is killed when he takes what seems like a hundred bullets plus a final one to the dome. He is then turned into the RoboCop to fight crime. In the new RoboCop Movie Trailer ($TBA) it looks like he gets blown up and doesn't die, just gets really messed up which is a little disappointing. The brutality of the origInal kill scene really sets the stage in the first movie about the morality of using extreme violence to fight violence. Take a look at the video and let me know what you think of the new flick.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBeSfnIT_Bw
Imagine being able to breathe underwater without heavy equipment or having to surface every few minutes. Triton Gills ($299+) lets you do just that. These artificial gills have technology that allows you to swim among the fish and experience the beauty of marine life. There's nothing complicated to learn and no additional training needed. Just gently bite on the mouthpiece and breathe normally. The Triton works by using holes that are smaller than water molecules. This keeps the water out and lets the oxygen in.Inside there's a micro compressor that extracts and stores the oxygen in a storage tank allowing you to breath naturally. The micro compressor works on a lithium ion battery which can last for up to 45 minutes.Right now Triton is running an Indiegogo campaign, and the first of the units is expected to ship by December 2016.
