I love Deus bikes. They continue to build works of art. No detail is overlooked. And their customers are left with a machines that provide decades of pleasure. Their latest build is no exception. The Red Pill Motorcycle By Deus Ex Machina ($CALL) came from a simple request. The customer wanted a surf bike based on his W650. And he wanted it low and lean. Custmizations include a removed air box, replaced by re-jetted carbs with twin K&N filters. Japanese headers, a Foran reverse cone muffler, custom ace bars, digital clock, and custom stainless front and rear fenders were also added. The pièce de résistance are the Deus quick release board racks. "Red Pill, to be taken twice daily. If symptoms persist, double the dose!"
The Mokai Jet Propelled Kayak ($4,800) allows you go anywhere a regular kayak can go, plus much further. Whether you're into fishing, hunting or just looking to explore the Mokai can take you there. It comes with a Subaru EX21 four-stroke engine with Mokai's proprietary jet drive technology. What this means is the kayak uses jet propulsion and not a standard propeller so shallow water is not an issue and neither is injury due to a prop strike. The Mokai fits two and can be used in salt or fresh water environments.
If you like bikes, robots, or just plain ole cool stuff then you have to take a look at the Robots Made from Recycled Bike Parts ($14-$131) by Felvarrom. The imagination behind these little works of art is borderline genius. The robots are made from pieces of bike hubs, brakes, chain links and assorted screws and nuts. For an original work of art you really can't beat the price.
The Chargeboard Concept Skateboard ($TBA) is the first triple threat skateboard. It can create and store its own electricity, charge your mobile devices, and acts as a portable boombox with two speakers under the board. Now don't get too excited because as the title says, the Chargeboard is just a concept. It was the brain child of Bjorn van den Hout and was created as a graduation project. Right now it's still in the prototyping phase and he is looking for product developers and larger brands to help bring it to the masses. Sounds like a perfect candidate for a Kickstarter project.
