Think of a cross between a motorized skateboard and a scooter and you have the 20 MPH Motorized Wheelrider ($500). You place your feet inside the hubless tires and steer with a side to side motion directed at the front wheels. The Wheelrider has a 2-horsepower enginine which is controlled by a handheld throttle. It requires an oil and gas mixture and can go for about an hour between refills. Check out this [video_lightbox_youtube video_id=bgas5eWkFVo width=640 height=480 anchor=video] of the Wheelrider in action.
If you live in an urban environment or just like your bikes inside out of the elements then the Sonntagsstaat Bike Valet ($400) may be perfect for you. The valet has enough space, accessible by a flip open front, to store all of your bike accessories like your lock, lights, gloves, etc. The shelf is handmade from European Birch, while the flip top is made from dark Walnut. You also get a calfskin belt to help secure your front wheel. My only issue is the price. This is a well designed product but I think someone with a bit of ingenuity could get a kickstarter going and offer this at a much lower price.
