Lotus has gotten into the bike game, and their first offering looks sick. The Lotus C-01 ($TBA) was built by the same group that built Lotus' Le mans car, and was designed by Daniel Simon, who used to work for Bugatti. The C-01 features an 1195cc V-twin engine that pushes about 200 horses, and is paired with a six-speed transmission with a hydraulic clutch. The total weight for the bike is just under 400 pounds. Right now only about 100 of these are set to be produced so if you want one you better act fast.
The Bell & Ross - BR 123 Sport Heritage ($2325) pays tribute to the the 1960's. You can easily see this in the bezel and the indices and hands covered in a sand-colored vintage looking photo-luminescent coating. The BR123 features a mechanical automatic movement, and standard functions like hours, minutes, seconds, and date. It comes with a 43mm polished steel case, a fixed black bezel, and a screw-in sapphire case-back with anti-reflective treatment. The whole unit is capped off with an ant-reflective ultra-dome sapphire glass. Water-resistance is only about 100 meters, so its probably OK for showering and a quick dip. Not to be used for serious diving.
We've covered a lot of beautiful bikes by Diamond Atelier in the past, but the DA#12 Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 By Diamond Atelier ($CALL) is showing the brand is still reaching new levels of excellence. In building the DA#12 they took on a new approach by basing a batch of bikes on the same platform. Making the bikes faster to produce thus lowering the price. The Sixty2 features a 400cc engine which is perfect for a daily commute. Customizations include an aluminum swingarm, custom Wilbers rear shock, and new USD forks. The rims were replaced with 3.5" and 5.5" Kineo spoked rims which are designed to run tubeless tires. With this build, DA wanted to show that you don't need a huge budget to get a head turning daily rider.
