Speed kills. But some times you just can't help yourself. The 300+ horsepower Bienville Legacy ($250K) is a machine that would be hard to keep below triple digits. One look at the bike and one of the first words that comes to mind is 'weird', when you look at the specs the next words are 'ridiculously overpowered'. But the Legacy is much more than those obvious descriptions. It very well could be the start of a movement to reinvigorate master craftsmanship in America. The dream started with Jim Jacoby, an entrepreneur sitting on a sizable amount of money, and J.T. Nesbitt, one of the most renowned motorcycle designers in the world. One of the bikes Nesbitt worked on was the beautiful Confederate Wraith.Who about the specs? Well the Legacy features a huge 1650cc Motus MV4 engine. J.T. added a Rotrex centrifugal supercharger which upped the stock 185 horses to over 300 ponies. The bikes will be sold to only serious collectors who will be required to exhibit the bikes around the U.S. and act as an ambassador for master craftsmanship and design
Sony is about to release its quirky new cameras, the Sony Cyber-Shot QX100 Camera Lens ($500) and the Sony Cyber-Shot QX10 Camera Lens ($250). The cameras can work by themselves or with Sony, iOS and Android devices. To pair with the camera you will need the Sony PlayMemories app and a Wi-Fi or NFC connection. The camera attaches to your smartphone using a provided clamp and the phone is used as the viewfinder. You can then manage the photos you take through the app. Unless you have the Nokia 1020 these cameras will be a big improvement over your current phones camera.
OK, I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a big fan of convertibles, but heck if you have to throw one on, why not really get the wind moving through your hair. The 2015 BMW M4 Convertible ($73,000) is about to be released and only time will tell if it will take off. The M4 convertible is a two door hardtop that features a dual turbo 3.0-liter S55 engine. That engine will get you 425 horses, 406 lb-ft of torque, with a governed top speed of 155 miles per hour. Because of the added weight of the hardtop the 0-60 times are a little slower at 4.2 seconds, .3 seconds slower than its standard top counterpart. Expect the 2015 BMW M4 Convertible to hit showroom floors later this Summer.
Air quality is becoming increasingly more important as pollution and other harmful allergens mount up. Generally to maintain air quality you'd have to fit your whole home and office with an expensive HEPA filter. However thanks to the Bitfinder Awair ($149) which continuously monitors the air around you, highlighting any problems. Even more the incredibly handy companion app can even alert you if something's not quite right. Meaning you can respond appropriately and very quickly. The Awair is available to buy now and at just under $150 it's also a sound investment.
