Over 1,000 models were made available to consumers in Japan. Along with the $1700 price tag there is also a $200 monthly data and insurance fee. Pepper is just about four feet tall and weighs just over 60 pounds. It was created to read emotions, recognize tones of voice, and facial expressions so that it could more naturally interact with humans. The internal tech sounds like a high end smart phone - including cameras, touch sensors, and accelerometers. It also speaks multiple languages out of the box. If all this sounds interesting, you'll be able to get your own through Sprint Corp. stores in the U.S. starting next summer.
The Nike Air Jordan XX8 ($250) is the most advanced basketball shoe to date, and the most aesthetically controversial. Either your going to love them zipped up and ready for work or down and casual. One thing not in dispute is that these shoes are made for performance. The synthetic stretch upper is made to lock your foot into the shoe. The spiral pattern on the outsole provides great traction in any direction. And the flight plate along with the Nike Zoom Air provide quick cuts and maximum responsiveness. The look my not be your cup of tea, but the performance is sure to be.
Mission is hoping that you're willing to spend a boat load of money for a fully electric motorcycle. Their Mission RS Motorcycle ($56,000) is an impressive package. The RS has a 160 horsepower, 120 kW electric motor. The motor puts out 120 pound-feet of torque. All of this comes form a single speed transmission that will get you to 60 mph in under 3 seconds. Maximum range for the RS is about 200 miles, but real world measurements are closer to 140 miles. If $60,000 is a bit much to spend, Mission plans on releasing the R version of their bike which will start at $29,000. Only 40 of the RS bikes will be made.
