There is no reason you can't be safe and look cool while riding your bike. The Canyon Motorcycle Jacket by Outlier ($750) is made from Schoeller-Dynatec - an abrasion resistant fabric that's been crashed tested up to 75 mph. It has a 3-layer construction that makes it waterproof and breathable. Additional features include reflective piping for night riding, protective D3O padding, and ColdBlack integration which reduces heat retention by 10 degrees. If you want to avoid a bad case of road rash, the Canyon Jacket is one of your best bets.
Adam Rogers is Articles Editor at Wired and he's just released a book on the history and science of Booze. His book, Proof: The Science of Booze ($19) offers a glimpse into the processes associated with some of our favorite beverages. His journey takes us from the whiskey-making mecca of the Scottish Highlands to some of the most sophisticated gene-sequencing labs in the world. He delves into the physics, molecular biology, organic chemistry and even metallurgy and how they all impart the taste to that wonderful elixir.
Stop wasting money on cheap and tacky razors, instead invest in a limited edition Ursa Major Black Walnut Razor ($36). Expertly crafted using reclaimed black walnut for the handle each piece is just as unique as the first. Its beauty can only be matched by the quality of the blade, and is compatible with both Gillette and Venus offerings. The initial release sold out in the first two days, so grab one before they're gone for good!
Is The Logitech Harmony Ultimate Remote ($350), the utimate remote control? Lets take a look. The Ultimate is a IR/RF/Bluetooth remote that will allow you to manage up to 15 devices. It has a 2.4" touchscreen that has functionality similar to your iPhone, so you can scroll, swipe and use taps to get to the icons you're looking for. You can set different commands on the buttons for either short or long presses. Other features include vibration, backlit buttons, tilt sensor and direct control over Philips Hue lighting systems. With the included Hub, you can control your IR/RF devices and Bluetooth games systems like PS3, Nintendo Wii, Wii U, and XBox 360. There is also an App available to turn your Smartphone into a remote. Sounds pretty Ultimate to me.
This product probably has limited mass appeal, but it was just too cool to pass up. The Qumarion ($750) is a poseable action figure that allows comic book artists and animators to create on-screen CG character poses in real-time. The Qumarion is equipped with 32 sensors spread over 16 joints to capture movements and feed them back to your system. This will allow animators to create key frames far more easily than is possible today. Qumarion is only being offered in Japan at the moment, but here's hoping they open it up to other countries in the future.
