ER Motorcycles is a Slovenian bike customizer that was started back in 2009 by Blaž Šuštaršič. The 'ER' stands for Espresso Racer. Blaž and his team take old bikes, redesign them and give them a new look and feel. Their latest customization is a Honda GL1000 "Nordiq" by ER Motorcycles ($CALL). [gallery royalslider="2" ids="14781,14780,14779,14778,14777,14776,14775,14774,14773"] The bike started off as a 1975 Honda Goldwing and the owner had big plans for it. He wanted a bike that could handle a ride of over 2400 miles from Verona, Italy to Nordkapp, Norway. ER's first priority was to take an old bike and make it comfortable and robust while keeping its original classic feel. One of the biggest issues they had to overcome was luggage space. Two custom designed side saddle travel bags had to be created from scratch. [gallery royalslider="1" ids="14774,14777,14773"] Blaž Šuštaršič said, "I loved the way those bags turned out, they really complete the overall look of the bike. They put us through some long working hours though in order to get the looks we wanted and to meet all functional needs, but it was all worth it." Additional customizations included front and rear carriers, side racks for the travel bags, headlight bracket, front and rear fenders, exhaust pipes, airflow modifier, protective mesh for the radiator, seat pan and leather seat, and of course the bags. Instead they created a blanket holder which amped up the vintage feel of the bike and would be functional especially for the northern climate the customer would experience. This beautiful customization by the London-based company started with a 2015 Chelsea Wide Track Defender with 22K miles on it. They kicked things off with a brand new paint job. They completely updated the color with their signature Cromax paint finish. Other exterior updates include an updated front bumper, LED lights, hood vents, and chrome accents. The exhaust system was also updated with stainless steel accents. The whole kit sits on black satin alloy wheels wrapped in 16" renegade tires. The interior features front sports GTP seats in quilted and perforated leather. The glovebox and instrument panels are also wrapped in the same leather. Foot pedals are made from machined aluminum and side vents are made from stainless steel mesh.
