The John Lennon Letters ($19) is a fascinating lifetime of letters from one of the most legendary musicians and songwriters brought together for the first time ever in this stunning collection. John Lennon was, quite simply, one of the world's greatest ever songwriters. The creator of such classics as 'Help!', 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamond', 'Strawberry Fields Forever', 'Imagine' and many more besides. It was in his personal correspondences however that Lennon really allowed his poetic personality to flow freely and unguarded. Now for the first time we get a chance to read those letters to friends, family, lovers and strangers through every point of his life. In turn informative, funny, poetic, wise and at time heartbreaking, these letters allow us access to the intimate thoughts of a man who was, quite simply, a genius.
Sicily Kolbeck proves that most teenagers aren't just sitting around twiddling their thumbs. She designed and built her own house, Le Petit Maison ($10,000). Sicily created an Indiegogo campaign last year and raised $1660 towards her project. Her mom was able to foot the rest of the $10,000 cost. The house she created is fully operationally and includes a kitchen, bathroom, reading area, and a sleeping loft. The home looks so amazing, I just might put one up in the back yard.
If you are a fan of beer you will love this book. A comprehensive and brilliantly illustrated volume on all things beer related, it is way more than merely an in depth history of the world's favorite beverage. The World Atlas of Beer ($15) takes us from its origins, through the various technologies that play a major part in the brewing process, the trends which have come and gone and much much more. From ancient times until the present day there is nothing missed out. We even get a detailed analogy of the over 500 great beers from across the globe.
The OTW X Vans Alomar NA Series Sneaker ($100) is a classic street wear skate boot from Vans OTW collection. The boots feature premium pull-up leather uppers, matching corded laces, canvas lining, and a cushioned EVA footbed. If you're going to be wearing these guys daily, my one suggestion would be to get a cushioned sole insert. Some comments indicate the Alomar's have limited arch support.

If you're looking for the German version of bad-ass then you need to take a look at this Mercedes-Benz Unimog Doppelkabine ($50k-$70) going up for auction. The Unimog was was initially intended to be used in agriculture, but because of its ruggedness and durability it was able to fill a number of other roles. It features a flexible chassis frame, equally sized tires, and power take-offs that enable it to operate many attachements including brush mowers and snow blowers. Under the hood it has a six-cylinder diesel engine that will push about 84bhp. This engine only has about 3,300 hours of run time on it, so its generally good shape.
