Redwood created its first watch in 2015. Their watches are inspired by the great outdoors and are meant to be reliable daily wear watches that can handle anything you throw at them. Their latest offering is the Rosewood Tactical Watch ($124) inspired by vintage diver watches. EEven though this watch is inexpensive, it is not cheap and comes with some really nice specs. The case is made of SS316 solid stainless steel, one of the most corrosion-resistant and indestructible steels available. And the PVD coating on the versions with black cases is anti-reflective and scratch-resistant.The Rosewood Tactical utilizes a Japanese quartz movement which is ultra-reliable and requires zero maintenance. The absence of moving parts makes it extremely shock-resistant. The battery has an expected battery life of 3-5 years. What's also great about this watch is its 100m water resistance which is perfect for the show and casual swimming.
Without a doubt one of history's most iconic and always fascinating figures, Winston Churchill has had many books written about him, but not one of them has analyzed his life and lifestyle in such a way as Churchill Style ($17). This book aims to let really understand the man behind the famous public persona, and is both an entertaining and vivid time line of his public life and also the more personal, non working aspects. We look at his cars, cigars, books, fashion, dining, pastimes and libations. He may have lived an outwardly extravagant lifestyle but actually did not have a lot of money. How we managed to live so far beyond his means is both fascinating and intriguing.
