Prince Rogers Nelson, known as Prince died today at the age of 57. Best known for his 1984 Album Purple Rain, he was one of the greatest musicians and artists to walk the planet.
No details are currently known, but he had been suffering from flu-like symptoms over the past several weeks.
His greatest albums included Prince 1979, Dirty Mind 1980, Controversy 1982, and of course Purple Rain 1984.
Prince primarily worked with his backup band the Revolution until 1987 when he released the solo album Sing “O” the Times.
Over his entire career, Prince sold over 100 million records, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time. Awards include seven Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, and an Academy Award.
He will be missed.
