Trying to steal a little thunder from the up coming release of Apple's smartwatch, LG has announced its new luxury smartwatch. The LG Watch Urbane ($TBA) wraps the classic styling of a traditional watch around the guts of a modern day smartwatch. The new watch features a 1.3-inch circular P-OLD display and an all metal case. Several finishes are available for the case including stainless steel, polished silver and gold. Because the watch uses a standard 22mm strap, you can use pretty much any strap you want, e.g. rubber, nato, or leather. The one downfall of this watch and the Apple offering is their water resistance. The Urbane is stated to have an IP67 dust and water resistance, which mean its OK for spills and rain but isn't meant to be worn while showering or swimming.
