No matter what activities you pursue this winter to get in shape, you will see better results if you track your efforts. From a strictly ego perspective you want to win - even if you're competing against yourself. The Tangram Smart Rope ($90) takes the classic jump rope and embeds it with LEDs so you can see vital stats displayed in midair in front of you. The current version of the Smart Rope displays your jump count, but future updates will provide calories burned, interval training data, and additional symbols that register double unders and other information. Smart Rope also comes with a Smart Gym App that connects with your Smart Rope via Bluetooth and displays all your vital statistics.https://www.youtube.com/embed/3dzasReAri8
Every vision of the future I've seen had flying cars in it. Now the future seems to be getting a lot closer. Terrafugia is developing the TF-X Concept ($TBA) to be a flying car for the masses. They believe the TF-X will be statistically safer than driving your regular car. Some of the features expected will be air traffic, bad weather, and tower-controlled airspace avoidance systems. Full take-off, flying and landing on auto-pilot. And a full-vehicle parachute for emergency landings. The TF-X will carry four passengers and have a flight range of at least 500 miles.
The Trefecta DRT Electric Bike ($25K) continues to blur the lines between electric motorcycle and bike. This super e-bike features, a military spec foldable 20" 7075 aluminium frame, that can carry up to 350 pounds. The 26" Carbon Fiber Wheels are wrapped in off-road trail ride tires by Schwalbe. Making this quite not a motorcycle but more than a bike, a lot more than a mountain bike, but not quite a dirt bike. Additional features include a Li-Ion battery that will get you 62 miles on a single charge, with a top speed of 43 miles per hour, a quick release interchangeable battery pack, Wifi, and Bluetooth. Trefecta is currently taking pre-orders for their bike.
