Gladiator ($7) is the story of such a man who is also a Roman General who is betrayed and sees his family slaughtered at the hands of an emperor's corrupt son. Russell Crowe is Maximus Decimus Meridian, the coolest named gladiator ever in this 2000 Ridley Scott epic. Joaquin Phoenix is the emperors son and this movie picked up 5 awards from 12 nominations at the 2001 Oscars.
OK, I know summer is just getting started, but you may want to take a look at Schott's Car Coat ($325) for when things start to cool down. Their Car Coat is a beautifully minimal coat made from Melton wool. It has a satin lining, with two inside and three outside pockets, and double zipper with button closure. The cut makes a nice fit for those with an athletic build, but it's roomy enough to allow for layers and sweaters.

The V-class can hold up to eight passengers and it gives all of them plenty of room. Seating options include four captains chairs, or benches that hold two or three passengers. The second row of captains chairs can face the rear row just in case you want to break out the cards. The power plant is a 2.1-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel in three options. Sales will start in Europe in March, Mercedes is still deciding whether or not to bring it to the United States.

Analog Motorcycles is just five years old, but they're already making a name for themselves in the bike customization arena. Started by Tony Prust out of Gurnee, IL, they've created some iconic bikes like our previous reviewed 1973 Yamaha RD350 S2RD. They've now released the beautifully streamlined Blue Baron By Analog Motorcycles ($TBA). The bike started its life as a 1958 BMW R50. The frame was completely de-tabbed and features custom made items like top triple, headlight ears, rear taillight, fender struts, tank emblems, battery tray and cover, and the entire seat bracket assembly. The engine was completely rebuilt and all electrical wiring and lighting are new. Every detail on the bike is perfect.
