Another classic New Balance runner has just dropped with some very cool colorways. The last time this style was rebooted was over five years ago. First of all the New Balance 850 2014 Collection ($CALL) features the 850 which has an upper that includes perforated nubuck, 3M, and mesh. The three colorways include; grey/black, white/neon, and navy/red. The shoes are now available from Feature Sneaker Boutique.
The first shoe is the Nike Stasis ACQ "Baroque Brown & Urban Orange" ($180). They feature a leather riptstop shell, watershield lining and a french terry cloth lining. All of these features are geared towards helping repel the elements and keep you feet warm in a harsh winter. The shoe also has a Phylon cushion in the midsole and a rugged outsole to make sure you can handle any terrain. Additional colorways will be available in the future including a brown and anthracite colorway that should drop shortly.(more…)
JM & Sons are furniture makers from Toronto. They make the type of furniture we love at Muted; minimal with industrial and rustic characteristics. The JM & Sons Wall Coat Rack ($185) is a perfect example of this style. The main unit is made from bent metal with a gunmetal black finish. It features five coat hooks, two shelves and a beautifully handcrafted salvaged wood plank for the bottom shelf. This would be a perfect piece for any entryway. Check out other items on the JM & Sons website.
As the name states, LoopAlien ($16) is a rapid cord attachment tool, which allows you to easily attach and adjust cords without having to be an expert in making knots. The LoopAlien is made from high quality 6061-T6 aluminum and weighs in at just 2.6 grams. In this video you can see there are 100 of uses for this tool. Use the LoopAlien with tents, tarps, canopies or to attach items to your backpack. Keep it on your keychain or attach it to you jacket just in case.
If you love a good microbrewery ale, then you're going to die for the Nike SB Dunk High Premium "Brown Ale & Tour Yellow" ($110). These sneakers feature a mostly woven textile upper, capping with matching sue paneling and logo. The upper is finished off with matching laces and a Nike logo on the tongue with Tour Yellow lettering. The whole kit sits on a matching Ale Brown midsole. They're available now from Premier.
Before you take off for your next trip, you may want to consider getting a beautiful top of the line suitcase like the Stabilist Rifle Case ($7900). This case is limited to 100 editions globally and sold exclusively through Globe-Trotter stores. The case is a handmade 26" aluminum suitcase. It features a telescopic sight handle. Inside, it is lined with quilted Alantara. If the Stabilist looks familiar it's because it made a cameo in the James Bond film SKYFALL.
