A few days ahead of the New York Auto Show Land Rover has revealed their much anticipated Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept ($TBA). The most recent discovery models from Land Rover have used the LR3 and LR4 badges. With this latest concept Land Rover intends to bring back the Discovery name in full force. The concept features seating for seven, suicide doors, gesture control, remote control drive, laser headlights, smart glass, laser terrain scanning, and a transparent bonnet to give you a better view of the road. You should see a lot of the innovations come to Land Rovers production cars over the next years.

If you're looking for a robotic companion. You may have just missed the boat. Pepper: The Emotional Robot ($1700+) sold out in just minutes. Over 1,000 models were made available to consumers in Japan. Along with the $1700 price tag there is also a $200 monthly data and insurance fee. Pepper is just about four feet tall and weighs just over 60 pounds. It was created to read emotions, recognize tones of voice, and facial expressions so that it could more naturally interact with humans. The internal tech sounds like a high end smart phone - including cameras, touch sensors, and accelerometers. It also speaks multiple languages out of the box. If all this sounds interesting, you'll be able to get your own through Sprint Corp. stores in the U.S. starting next summer.
