All I have to say is wow and thanks to the guys over at Silodrome for bringing this amazing artist to our attention. Jomar Machado creates some of the most beautiful futuristic vehicle creations I've ever seen. He started his career creating story-boards, layouts and art for print. Eventually his employer, JWThompson went from analog to digital and Jomar joined the change. In looking at his blog, his tools of the trade seem to be the standard fare 3D Studio Max, Mental Ray, HDR Light Studio and Photoshop. But what he does with these tools is nothing short of amazing. Check out the slide show above of his works and enjoy. If Jomar ever decides to sell prints of his amazing artwork, I'd be first in line to pick one up. Make that two.
Don Cannon, the famed Hip-Hop record producer has gotten together with Rare Addiction and spit out a cool little bag. I would hate to get poked by this bad boy. Microtech, located in Vero Beach, Florida, has one mission, "To Make The Best Possible Knives." They built their reputation by building their products to extremely close tolerances, by using the highest grade tool steel, aircraft alloy and component pieces, and by fabricating 95% of their parts on site. That brings us to the Microtech Jagdkommando Knife ($790). This beautiful blade is a one of a kind dagger. Named after the famed Austrian Armed Special Forces group, it features a blade with three cutting edges, fuller grooves, and drilled holes. Made from 440-A/6AL-V4 Titanium, it has an over length of 12.8", with a 7.42" blade and a total weight of 24oz. You also get an aluminum sheath with your purchase.
