How far would you go for the ultimate burger satisfaction? This is the dilemma dealt with in Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle ($7) when our unlikely heroes get a serious case of the munchies and go on an adventure to end all adventures. This movie may replace the Cheech and Chong series as the ultimate stoner movie of all times. Starring John Cho, Kal Penn, Ethan Embry, N.P.H. and directed by Danny Leiner, this is one of my must sees. Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle was also credited with relaunching Neil Patric Harris's career.
We like our bikes clean and mean. Stripped down of all non-essential dressing with an aggressive stance. The Custom Hero Honda Karizma By Mean Green Customs ($TBA) fits that description to a tee. Mean Green Customs is out of Mumbia, India and their Hero features a 223cc Hero Honda Karizma engine with tons of upgrades, including LED indicator lights on the handlebar mirrors, custom forkset, tank and seat. While the large yellow headlight adds a splash of color.

We all know that the music we download nowadays is compressed and missing a lot of the nuance that the original artist wanted us to hear. With compression comes loss of detail and that emotional attachment that we felt from analog formats like vinyl records. PonoPlayer ($300) hopes to change all of this with its Kickstarter. Pono is looking to provide high quality digital music through its online store which will be playable on its portable PonoPlayer. You will be able to download and play 192kHz/24 bit music that has about 6 times more musical information than a standard mp3. The player will feature two output jacks. One is a standard mini-stereo output and the other is a mini-plug analog output for listening on your home audio system. Check out their Kickstarter today.
If you consider yourself to be innovative, or inventive, or both when it comes to cooking it can be difficult to find an outlet for your creativity as opposed to just following recipes. Cooking For Geeks ($7) is the book you have been waiting for. It goes behind the dish and looks at the science involved in cooking a meal. This is so much more than a cookbook, as it takes your curiosity for new discoveries and applies it to the kitchen thus allowing you to learn what makes a recipe work so you can improvise and create it yourself. A very clever book that makes a fascinating read.
MUNI is a Japanese retail change with a minimalistic aesthetic. They've now taken that ethos and unveiled a trio of mini-homes designed for those interested in right-sizing through minimalism. The result is MUJI Hut A Trio OF Minimalist Prefab Houses ($CALL). The homes are on display in a temporary exhibition, and it includes a home of cork, aluminum and one of wood. Each of the homes is lightweight and can be installed anywhere. No word yet on price, but I'm thinking the wood one would make a great pool house.
