In total contrast to what the title suggests, Serenity ($6) is an action adventure movie with a bit of Sci-Fi thrown in. Written and directed by Josh Whedon and starring Nathan Filion, Gina Torres and Chiwetel Ejiofor, Serenity is the name of the ship on which the action takes place. The crew have to evade an assassin on board who has been sent to capture a passenger with telepathic abilities. This is a movie that fell under a lot of people's radars but guys in particular have given Serenity a cult status. If you loved the TV series Firefly, you'll love Serenity.
Owen & Fred make some pretty cool stuff for men. And their newly released manly soap is no different. The Owen & Fred You Dirty Dog Soap ($9) is described as, "scented like an old cigarbox, with a hit of Peru Balsam and black pepper". Pretty cool. The soap is actually made from a mix of Cedar wood, which is meant to calm the nerves and relieve tension. The Peu Balsam, found in wound care products, is used to revitalize your skin. And the activated charcoal is used to detox your skin by drawing out dirt and oil. All of this plus some distilled water, oils, and Rottweiler Musk, make up a great way to start your mornings.
When you see a DP Customs motorcycle you know it right away. It's not something obvious, its just in the DNA of their bikes. The Racer by DP Customs ($TBA) is no different. It started off as a 1200 cc Evo with dual plug heads and takes inspiration from the Brabham BT44 with a Martini Racing livery. They lowered the handlebars to give the gas tank front stage and made a filter cover inspired by the roof scoops of the Brabham. Additional features include a custom exhaust, single-fire ignition and additions from Bitwell.(more…)

I hope Apple and Samsung are paying attention, the Smartwatch Concept by Gabor Balogh ($TBA) is exactly what most people envision when they think of the perfect smartwatch. Gabor Balogh is a Hungarian designer who created an interface that allows for a classic watch design to incorporate a multitude of digital features. The mockup that Gabor used was Triwa's Havana Watch and he simply took and replaced the face with a digital display. There are a number of technical hurdles that would need to be cleared before something like this could be a reality, but a product along these lines in the future is almost a certainty. Check out the mockups and then head over to The Verge to check out the rest of the piece.
