Mercedes is bringing the back the ultra luxury badge with the release of the 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S600 ($TBA) in April of 2015. The newest S600 is a whopping eight inches longer than its other class mates. This is especially noticeable in the rear with generous legroom and unparalleled comfort provided for passengers. The interior features hand-stitched Nappa leather throughout the interior. The power plant is a 6.0-liter V12 biturbo engine and the exterior will feature 20" wheels with your choice of 14 paint colors. Now if you can do without the extra 8 inch length you can get a well appointed S600 for about $40K less, and if you want the length, but with a little faster engine you can go with the 614 horsepower S65 AMG for about the same price.
The Adidas Y-3 Qasa High - Khaki ($409) are one of the coolest shoes to come out of the brand in a long time. The sad thing is these bad boys are sold out, but SneakerBoy is expecting another shipment between July 15 - Aug 15, so go on to their website and make sure you add these to your wish list.
When you think of Rolls-Royce you probably don't think sports car, but the new Rolls Royce Wraith ($300,000) not only has the sophisticated lineage of a Rolls, but also the power to hang with some of the top sports cars around. The Wraith comes with a V12 which has an impressive 624 HP and 590 foot lbs or torque. The zero to sixty comes in at 4.4 seconds. The styling would be consider more agressive the elegant, but if you have the cash I would still consider taking a test drive.
The founders of Ronin Motor Works have always respected the Harley-Davidson Buell brand. The Buell featured a 1125 series liquid-cooled engine and looked to be positioned to take the industry head on. But with all of its most interesting technology hidden by the typical plastic body, the bike looked run of the mill, never took off and was eliminated in 2009.After acquiring two of the 1125Rs, to be used in a design exercise, they created the first concept called the Magpul Ronin. Ronin is taken from the Japanese word for a Samurai whose lost his master, and thusly represents how Buell motorcycles will continue on even after the end of the company. And based on the story from Japanese folklore, 47 Ronin, they decided to build 47 of the concept bikes. The result is the Ronin 47 Motorcycle ($38K) series of bikes that match the rawness of the concept, but are much more fined. The bikes will be releases in multiple series that feature a predetermined color scheme. The first 12 bikes will be released in the classic black & gray of the original concept bike, and will be followed by 10 all black versions. Each of the 47 bikes are named after one of the Ronin warriors form Japanese legend, with the name being engraved on the bike and the accompanying bamboo toolkit.
Van Gogh's "The Bedroom" Is An Airbnb ($10/NIGHT). The title pretty much says it all. For a measly 10$ per night, you can stay in a room that eerily resemble the world class painting by Van Gogh. The room in located in an apartment in Chicago, Il, and accommodates two. It is decorated to a "T" in the post-impressionist style of the painting. which depicts Southern France at the time. It is decked out in bright colors, and artwork. The owner is only charging $10/night so that he can buy paints. He is also throwing in tickets to his art exhibit upon request. Not a bad deal.
