Since the wild times of the 1960s, Ken Regan has been capturing the passion and energy of some of the most influential artists in the crazy world of rock & roll. His early works with the likes of the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan made his fast become the photographer of choice for many of the most historic music invents including Amnesty International's Human Rights Now Worldwide benefit concerts and Live Aid. Events such as these gave Regan unique and unprecedented access to the personal personas of the biggest starts in the music industry. All Access ($49) is the definitive collection of the best of Regan's work and the behind-the-scenes anecdotes covering the forty years makes this an outstanding Who's Who list of rock superstars.
The worst is planning a short trip out and then realizing that your phone is out of juice. You didn't bring your backpack so you don't have your big charger or cables. What if you could carry reserve juice in your wallet? That's where the TravelCard ($40) comes in. It's a battery backup the size of a credit card and just 3/16" thick you can carry in your wallet. It gives you five hours of talk time, 4.5 hours of internet usage, and 98 hours of standby time. There are four colors available and it comes with either a micro USB or Lightning connector. You can check out their Kickstarter campaign which is going on right now.
Bloodshed motors, has pioneered the world's first class of Super Electric Muscle Cars (Super-E). They take classic, American made muscle cars, and add a high powered electric propulsion system. Add state of the art suspension and braking and you've got a monster on your hands. Or better yet, a Zombie 222 ($50K+).As the title says, the Zombie 222 is a street legel electric muscle car which just set the record for street legal EV cars at 165.3 MPH. Just missing the overall EV record of 165.5 MPH, which also includes non-street legal cars. The Zombie features an all electric twin 11" drive train, and a LiPo Prismatic Pouch High Tec systems racing battery, with a drive range of 40 to 140 miles depending on the pack size. This setup pushes an amazing 800+ horses, with over, wait for it, 1800 lb-ft of torque.Additional features include Bilstein coil over front suspension, SOT floating 3-link rear with Watts bar, Strange PRF180 Aluminum HD section, Flaming River rack and pinion steering, and 13" Brembo disk brakes. If you've got a muscle car you want to take all the way electric, expect to pay about $50K for a starter package, which gives you the same push as a standard V8 muscle car. Prices go up from there.
Can the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6x6 get any crazier? Well, the team at Mansory believed so, as they often do. The latest custom creation from the German powerhouse takes the all-terrain beast to a whole new level of extreme, with a curvy carbon fibre body kit and a bit of redesign just for starters. The completely rebuilt twin turbo engine features a new side exit exhaust that allows this monster to breathe easy while its 829bhp and over 730lbs of torque do all the work. The Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6x6 by Mansory ($CALL) has to be experienced to be believed.
The Shades of Grey by Micah Cohen SS14 Lookbook ($TBA) is out and the pieces are made up of prints, patterns, and materials that capture the best of California sports and loungewear. The shoot actually takes place on the coast of Southern California and is photographed by Mike Carreiro. The collection features bomber jacket, blazers, pants, baseball tees, and much more. I wouldn't put this collection into the street wear genre. It's more modern with hints of street influence. The collection is available today from Shades of Grey online shop.
