The M2 Diver by Haigh & Hastings ($500) is the latest entry into the sub $1000 tool style diver watch category. The M2 features a 316L stainless steel case and water resistance to 1000ft. The case is 44mm (3-9) x 53mm (12-6), so if you have tiny wrists this might not be the watch for you. The lug spacings are 22mm, and Hastings offers a multitude of color strap options including camo. Because of the standard lug spacing the M2 will easily fit your favorite nato or leather for a different look all together. A sapphire crystal and a uni-directional graduated bezel finish of this beautifully affordable timepiece.
Military jackets have been in for awhile but WTAPS has taken it to the next level with the release of their WTAPS N-2B Jacket ($850). The N-2B features a faux fur lined hood and collar for additional protection against the elements, a 100% Nylon Twill shell, and a center front zipper with button fastened storm flap. To make sure the jacket remained authentic they even left functional military details like components for attaching flight instruments.
"Prohibition is over!" With the legalization of marijuana gaining acceptance, a number of uses, previously thought as taboo, are being adopted. One of which is cooking with it. Herb ($15+) is the new crowdfunded cookbook from the folks behind The Stoners Cookbook website. It will feature 200+ pages and hundreds of their favorite, mouth-watering recipes, beautiful photography, and detailed extraction methods. Additional articles will include The Science behind cannabis, using it as a medication, and much more.
The word bromance might be a relatively new term but it can certainly be applied to this blockbuster 1969 western is concerned. This movie is the last few months of the notorious Hole in the Wall Gang based on the true story of Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid ($10), two train/bank robbers go on the run to Bolivia when things get too hot to handle as far as the law is concerned. The dream team of Robert Redford and Paul Newman, eye candy in the shape of Katherine Ross and the instantly catchy 'Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head' make this an all time classic.
Possibly the creepiest film ever to hit the big screen, Psycho ($9) is chiller in the truest sense of the world. This work of genius by the master of suspense Alfred Hitchcock takes us into the world of Norman Bates, the psychotic son of a psychotic mother for whom the line between life and death is most definitely blurred. Famous for its shower scene which made Janet Leigh a star, Anthony Perkins is superb as the deranged Bates. Note; fans of Bates Motel should check this out as it is the movie that inspired this hit TV show.
I hope they'll eventually make one of these in a grown-up size. I'd love to tool around in one of these. Designer Songyee Yang created the B.Bike ($CONCEPT) to make it easier for young toddlers to learn how to ride a bike. The bike's soft curves, and carefully crafted shape make it harder for kids to hurt themselves. The design also helps children strengthen their leg muscles and practice their balance.
