Most speaker DIYer's will tell you that if you want great sound out of a cabinet you want it stiff and dampened so that box doesn't resonate with changes in air pressure while others say you want the sound qualities that wood offers. Now there's a speaker that offers both. The P.A.C.O. Concrete Speaker ($CALL) is probably the stiffest cabinet you'll find on the market. The concrete cabinet will enhance the bass while the Fir Harmonic board top piece gives the treble warmth and defuses the sound 360 degrees. The speaker also features bluetooth connectivity and gesture control. With a wave of your hand you can change the volume, play, and stop or skip tracks. The P.A.C.O has a 3.5" mid/low range driver and a 2" surface transducer and has a frequency range is 85Hz - 20,000Hz.
OK, I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a big fan of convertibles, but heck if you have to throw one on, why not really get the wind moving through your hair. The 2015 BMW M4 Convertible ($73,000) is about to be released and only time will tell if it will take off. The M4 convertible is a two door hardtop that features a dual turbo 3.0-liter S55 engine. That engine will get you 425 horses, 406 lb-ft of torque, with a governed top speed of 155 miles per hour. Because of the added weight of the hardtop the 0-60 times are a little slower at 4.2 seconds, .3 seconds slower than its standard top counterpart. Expect the 2015 BMW M4 Convertible to hit showroom floors later this Summer.
We recently did a write-up of a home by The Construction Zone. We're back with another offering from the same company. The Barn Guest House By The Construction Zone ($CALL) is just as the name implies. A converted barn that's now a contemporary guest house situation in Phoenix Arizona. Every room has expansive views of the outside. They include a full kitchen, and bath, lounge area, and a bedroom.
If you're limited on space, The Handler Yard Tool System ($99) will make a perfect addition to your lawn warrior arsenal. Along with the handle you get four attachements which include a 14 tine metal garden rake, 22 tine metal leaf rake, and a 24 inch comercial grade push broom. The package also includes wall mounts for each attachment and the handle. The complete system saves you about 60% on storage space when compared to standard tools, which aint too shabby.
Delivered as the ultimate version of itself, the Land Rover Defender SVX Spectre ($TBA) poses a striking figure. With just 234 km on the odometer, this car was used in the 24th James body film and is one of just 10 originals ever built. The car boasts 37" tires, rose joints, Bilstein rally dampers and a full roll cage for added safety. The improved engine can products 185 bhp and 500 Nm of Torque while the Recaro seats come with a four-point harness and hydraulic handbrake for road-legal use. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own an iconic piece of both motoring and film history.
This one off custom to come from VDB Moto is pretty special and will be difficult to be bested for some time to come. The VDBMOTO H1 ($CALL) Harley project is based around the 1999 Sportster 1200 which has undergone a complete overhaul including a dynamic new pair of Showa inverted forks, 18” Spoke wheels front and back, shortened the frame and added a Boyle Custom air cleaner. The beastly V Twin still sounds as throaty and gut punching as expected, so now is the time to plan your own special bike.
