Based on the Stephen King novel, The Green Mile ($5) is an incredibly powerful story that has touched the hearts of many since its release in 1999. It tells the story of prison guards on death row who are affected by one of the prisoners in their care. Even though the man, John Coffey, has been convicted of raping then murdering children he possesses a remarkable gift. Starring Michael Clarke Duncan as Coffey, Tom Hanks is another powerhouse performance and Frank Darabont in the directors chair this is a masterpiece of cinema that will have you engrossed from start to finish.
