If you're in the mood for some old school speed, made for the street or track, the Drakan Spyder ($80K) is the car for you. The Drakan Spyder is made for those who enjoy driving without all those computer interventions. It gets rid of all the modern conveniences, including ABS, TC and drivers aids. You get full control over the 430 horses coming from the GM made eRod LS3 V8. The V8 is paired with a Porsche G96 6-speed synchromesh. Due to the Drakan's weight, it only weighs 2000 pounds, this setup gets a 0-60mph split of 3.2 seconds.[gallery type="rectangular" ids="21980,21979,21978,21977"]Additional features include four-piston forged calipers for braking, with cockpit adjustments, adjustable pushrod, bell crank and Fox Racing coil-over suspension, Forged HRE Wheels, and AiM Dash and data/video acquisition. So whether you're headed to the Speedway for a weekend Track Day or just out for a drive on your favorite twisty road, the Drakan should be on your short list.
Boogie nights ($14) provides an apt portrayal of the Californian porn industry in the seventies and eighties. Directed and written by Paul Thomas Anderson, Boogie Nights stars Mark Wahlberg, Julianne Moore, Heather Graham, Don Cheadle, and Burt Reynolds. It chronicles the adventures of Eddie Adams A.K.A. Dirk Digger (Mark Wahlberg) as he tries to make his mark in porn. Dirk's best friend is played by John C. Reilly and the two make a hysterical pairing. But the best role in the movie saw the career resurgence of Burt Reynolds as the caring but tough Porn Producer Jack Horner. He does everything he can to keep his stars from going off the tracks to little avail.
The Belstaff Nylon Bomber Jacket ($795) is the perfect jacket for those cool months. This lightweight Bomber is made from technical nylon and finished with ribbed cuffs, waist and collar. The Belstaff will go perfectly with your favorite pair of jeans and boots.
If you're looking to add a little bling bling to your bar, without having to get a grill, then you need to check out the Shark Jaw Bottle Opener ($10). This bad boy is made from gold-plated cast aluminum and measures 2.5"W x 2"D x 1.75"H. It features a double row of teeth that can handle any task. And when you're not using it, it becomes a very cool conversation piece.
We love Deus Ex Machina and the bikes they make. Their latest creation continues the legacy of one of the best motorcycle customizers in the world. The Heinrich Maneuvre By Deus Ex Machina ($CALL) started off as a BMW R nineT, one of the most customized bikes on the road. Deus took a common platform and made it all their own. The bike was stripped by Jeremy Tagand, who then prepped the front end for a monster tank. Motoretro then went to work fabricating the fuel tank and bodywork based on drawings. The custom frame is a combination of square and round tubing. To make the stance perfect foot-pegs and controls were slightly rear-set. One of the killer details is the hand crafted alloy and suede cafe racer inspired seat. If you want to know more about this bike or want one for your garage, check the Deus website at the link below.
Robbing a bank is not the smartest of ideas, and when it gets you mixed up with both the law and the mafia it was definitely not one of your best decisions. The Pope of Greenwich Village ($8) follows the adventures of Charlie and Paulie who decide to steal $15,000 as Paulie has been given a hot tip for a horse race. After the heist, however, they find themselves in deep trouble with the mob and the corrupt NYPD. Based on the book by Vincent Patrick, directed by Stuart Rosenberg and starring Eric Roberts, Mickey Rourke and Daryl Hannah, this is one movie you need to see.
