If pressed, my philosophy when it comes to interior design is one of minimalism with industrial and rustic accents. So I love it when a company makes pieces that fit into all of those categories. Urban Wood Goods is a Chicago based company that uses reclaimed wood from old buildings and barns to create masterpieces. Their Urban Wood Goods Stool ($135) is a modern industrial stool that is built with salvaged Douglas Fir floor boards that are sanded smooth for comfort.
