They live among us! Directed by Neill Blomkamp, and starring Sharlto Copley, David James, and Jason Koepp, District 9 ($8) depicts an extraterrestrial race that's forced to live in a slum called District 9 after their space ship visits earth and can't leave. They live in terrible conditions and will soon be evicted from their homes and relocated to a camp far away from humans. That is, until they are helped out by Wikus (Sharlto Copley) from the government who when exposed to the race’s biotechnology starts to change into a creature himself. With a great blend of sci-fi, thriller, and action movie, District 9 is also a great story of redemption and offers some very cool alien weapons and special effects.
We love Deus Ex Machina and the bikes they make. Their latest creation continues the legacy of one of the best motorcycle customizers in the world. The Heinrich Maneuvre By Deus Ex Machina ($CALL) started off as a BMW R nineT, one of the most customized bikes on the road. Deus took a common platform and made it all their own. The bike was stripped by Jeremy Tagand, who then prepped the front end for a monster tank. Motoretro then went to work fabricating the fuel tank and bodywork based on drawings. The custom frame is a combination of square and round tubing. To make the stance perfect foot-pegs and controls were slightly rear-set. One of the killer details is the hand crafted alloy and suede cafe racer inspired seat. If you want to know more about this bike or want one for your garage, check the Deus website at the link below.

A Ridley Scott classic from 1982, Blade Runner ($14) is just as popular as it was more than 30 years ago. With stars such as Harrison Ford, brought to power, and Sean Young, this movie is ageless. The movie takes place in 2019 and follows Deckard (Harrison Ford), a Blade Runner, who must track down and terminate four replicants who are responsible for hijacking a ship in outer space and come to earth to find their maker. This is probably Harrison Ford's best role. Additional stars include Rutger Hauer (Roy Batty), Edward James Olmos (Gaff), and Daryl Hannah (Pris).
