Okay, now you will be forgiven for thinking the last thing the world needs is yet another flavored vodka, and you are about to be proved right by reading Boozehound ($15). The well known raconteur and spirits writer Jason Wilson brings together a unique mix of the history of spirits, a recipe collection and a travelogue in this awesome book. Boozehound also digs deeper to discover the origins of our favorite drinks as well the, often surprising, reasons behind the choices we make. In reference to today's colorless, odorless and it has to be said tasteless spirits, Jason champions the Old World liquor with unique, hard to define flavors. A great book for anyone bored with what is on offer in their local bar.
Adidas is back with a new release. After the successful drop of their ZX 500s Adidas has now released the Adidas Originals SS14 ZX 900 Weave ($110). This classic runner and cool colorway will definitely make a statement.
If you love Quentin Tarantino, then you need to pick up the Tarantino XX ($79.96) 8-Film Collection. It has eight films by Tarantino. In order of my favorites, they are; Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, Kill Bill Vol. 1, Kill Bill Vol. 2, Inglourious Basterds, Jackie Brown and Death Proof. Yes, I believe Pulp Fiction is still Tarantino's best movie.
Tom Cruise makes entertaining movies. Some of his hits include Taps, The Outsiders, Risky Business, Top Gun, Rain Man, Born On The Fourth Of July, Jerry Maguire, Magnolia, Minority Report, The Mission Impossible Series, and Oblivion to name a few. His latest flick, Edge Of Tomorrow ($TBA), looks to be another blockbuster. The movie is directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity) and is based on the light novel All You Need is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka.Based in the near future Tom plays Major William Cage, an officer whose never seen combat but is dropped into the middle of a suicide mission. He is fighting a hive like alien force who attacks the earth turning our major cities into rubble. In one last battle that unites the earths forces, Tom is almost immediately killed, but finds himself in a time loop after making contact with one of the aliens. He fights the same battle over and over again honing his skills each time with the help of Special Forces soldier Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt). The Edge of Tomorrow is expected to drop in the United States on June 4th, but until then check out the first trailer above.http://youtu.be/vw61gCe2oqI
Nope this isn't your grandfathers Winny. This is the brand new 2015 Winnebago Brave ($95K) and it has all the modern convenience your grand dad wish he had. The exterior pays homage to the original, but also includes goodies like automatic entrance door steps, porch light, trunk storage, powered patio awning, 15K BTU air conditioner, a 30K BTU furnace, and an exterior speaker system. The interior also has a bold retro feel with its dark wood cabinets, but it also includes an HDTV, loft with power lift and ladder, LED lighting, and powered roof vent. If you're family loves to travel, you'll be hard pressed to find a better way to do it.
Designed specifically for the urban driver, the Toyota i-Road ($TBA) is a mix between an electric car and a motorcycle. The i-Road has enough space for two occupants who sit tandem style inside a closed cockpit, has three wheels and uses Toyota's "Active Lean" technology to lean into corners like a motorcycle. On a three hour charge the vehicle can go about 50 km. This car is purely a concept vehicle, but Toyota will be kicking off a project in 2014 to gauge customer response to these type of vehicles. Here's a mock-up [video_lightbox_youtube video_id=ScsDvRYyitc width=640 height=480 anchor=video] of what the i-Road could look like on the roads in your city.
