Sony is about to release some competition for Dr. Dre's Beats, their Sony MDR-XB910 Headphones ($TBA) are about to hit stores and are supposed to bring the bass. Their new Direct Vibe Structure provides deeper bass, and smoother mids and highs. So how low do they go? Reported frequency response is 3 Hz 28,000 Hz. That 3 Hz reading, if accurate, gives the MDR-XB910 some of the lowest bass response around. These headphones are due to hit stores in April so keep an eye out.

Detroit car companies are making the slow climb back to profitability. But it's the newly resurrected Detroit Electric that is making the headlines. Detroit Electric has come out with its first electric sports car the Detroit Electric SP:01 ($135,000). The SP:01 is a rear-wheel drive fully electric sports car with a 200 bhp U.S. made electric motor. Its top speed is 155 mph and it will reach 62 mph in 3.7 seconds. The SP:01 has a driving range of roughly 180 miles. Albert Lam, who previously worked for Lotus, kickstarted the company and it's easy to see how much the SP:01 was inspired by Lotus. The current price is steep, but Detroit Electic will release a range of car models in the future and I'm sure we'll see those prices go down as the company gets its footing.

The Orient FER2400CN0 Bambino ($260) is a vintage styled mechanical watch that features a beautiful cream dial wrapped in roman numeral indices, topped with a domed crystal, and protected by a 40mm stainless steel case. This overall setup offers a water-resistance of about 30 meters. Good enough for a shower and a quick dip. The steel is polished on the top and has a matte brushed finished on the sides. The Orient Caliber 48743 Automatic Movement provides the standard three watch hands and calendar date. This Bambino looks great with the brown leather strap that it comes with, but it would look just as good with a cool nato strap.
