Detroit car companies are making the slow climb back to profitability. But it's the newly resurrected Detroit Electric that is making the headlines. Detroit Electric has come out with its first electric sports car the Detroit Electric SP:01 ($135,000). The SP:01 is a rear-wheel drive fully electric sports car with a 200 bhp U.S. made electric motor. Its top speed is 155 mph and it will reach 62 mph in 3.7 seconds. The SP:01 has a driving range of roughly 180 miles. Albert Lam, who previously worked for Lotus, kickstarted the company and it's easy to see how much the SP:01 was inspired by Lotus. The current price is steep, but Detroit Electic will release a range of car models in the future and I'm sure we'll see those prices go down as the company gets its footing.

So you're dropped behind enemy lines, what do you do? Paratroppers who've been in this exact situation have found paracord to be an extremely useful tool. It can be used to hang your food away from animals, clothes or fishing line, make traps, snow shoes, splints, and the list goes on and on. The Naimakka Paracord Bracelets ($45+) not only look cool, but they are very useful for those who love the outdoors.
The 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish Volante ($282,000) is Aston Martin's latest supercar. The Vanquish is powered by a 5.9-liter AM11 V-12, which puts out 55 horses and 457-foot pounds of torque. It'll get you to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds. The carbon-fiber body, derived from AM's GT race car program, reduces weight, increases agility, and allows for the creation of unbroken exterior lines. The folding soft top closes in 14 seconds and can be closed at speeds up to 30 mph.[gallery type="rectangular" ids="8193,8197,8196,8195,8199,8198"]

MKII is located right in my neck of the woods, off the mainline in scenic Wayne, Pa. The company was created by Bill Yao in 2001 and he hasn't looked back since. It utilizes a high-grade Swiss made movement and Rhodium plated hands for high nighttime visibility. The crystal is a double domed sapphire with an anti-reflective coating on the interior. The Nassau comes with a black Nato band and for $50 more you can get a stainless steel band.
