OK, I usually don’t like convertibles, I just don’t think I look good in them, kinda the way some people should avoid wearing fedoras. But I’d be more than happy hitting the strip in any city driving this bad boy. This 1949 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible Custom “Cad Attack” by Greg Westbury ($80K-$100) is getting ready to go up for auction and if I had six figs laying around, I’d probably be taking a trip to go get this one.
Nearly every aspect of this car has been customized, but it still retains all of its Cadillac characters. It comes with a 400 horsepower, 454 cu. in. V-8 engine. paired with a 700-R4 automatic transmission, modern independent front suspension, coil-spring rear suspension, and four-wheel power disc brakes.
Additional features include a Carson-style removable cloth-covered chopped hardtop, and 18-inch and 20-inch Foose wheels wrapped in Z-rated BFGoodrich tires. As for the interior, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a classier customization job. It features grey cloth upholstery, custom fitted to modern bucket seats, door panels, console, and headliner. The dashboard and other elements match the minimal streamlined interior. More details are available on RM Auctions website.
