The Cayman models have come a long way. Because the trim levels start around $50K Cayman was considered to be a poor man’s Porsche. But they’ve just released their first GTS version and are doing a great job shedding that rep. The new 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS ($75,000+) gets updated interior, exterior, and most importantly performance features.
The GTS features matte-black exterior inserts as well as blackout headlamp and taillamp covers. It sits on 20-inch Carrera S 235/35 front and 265/35 rear wheels, and features a sport exhaust system with black pipes. On the interior you’ll get an Alcantara wrapped steering wheel, and sport seats with the letters ‘GTS’ embroidered into the headrests.
As fars as the power plant goes, you’ll get a six-speed manual or seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission paired with a 3.4 liter flat-six engine with direct fuel injection. This setup will get you 340 horses that can reach 60 mph in 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 177 mph.
