5 Of The Best Men’s Outfit Ideas Every Guy Should Own

If you’ve looked at my outfit ideas section or my Instagram account you’ll see a large number of outfits for any occasion. What I wanted to do is pick the five outfits I think you’ll need to cover 90% of the occasions or situations you’d find yourself in. I tried to use my 33-piece capsule wardrobe as the backbone of these suggestions the idea being you can get a great look with a small number of clothing items. Use these outfits as a guide and of course with everything in life make it your own with your own personal touch.

Men’s Outfit Idea #1: Daily Wear Comfortable

On a day to day basis when you’re at home, you’re not going to care what you have on. The most important thing is that you’re comfortable. I put this outfit together so you’re not only comfortable but you look great for the inconvenient store run or catching a movie at a friends house. When I’m chilling at home or around family this is what I’ll have on 99% of the time.
This outfit is made up of either Adidas track pants or you can also use the Adidas Tiro 17 soccer pants. The soccer pants have a zippered button pant and the track pants have elastic cuffs. Both are great and really affordable. Next comes a nice plain t-shirt, and then a hoodie for layering on those cooler nights. For sneakers, you can go with either a white sneaker in the summer for a little pop or a tonal black, blue or grey sneaker. I’ve included the classic adidas stan smiths in triple white for this outfit.
1. Pants: Adidas SST Track Pants ($65)
2. Sneakers: Stan Smiths Triple Whites ($120)
3. T-Shirt: Asket Charcoal Grey T-Shirt ($45)
4. Sweatshirt: NWKC black Pullover Sweatshirt ($158)

Men’s Outfit Idea #2: Summer Day Casual

This is a warm weather casual outfit that’s perfect for hitting the town on a summer day or heading out to a bbq. It features a beautiful pima cotton oxford, chino shorts, and white sneakers from Rancourt. I’ve also added a nice snapback from Varsity Headwear. They also offer great wool caps for cooler seasons.
1. Shirt: J. Crew Light Blue Pima Cotton Oxford ($70)
2. Shorts: NWKC Charcoal Grey Sweat Shorts ($112)
3. Cap: Varsity Headwear Navy College Snapback ($61)
4. Sneakers: Rancourt Lows ($280)

Men’s Outfit Idea #3: Sharp Casual

This is a perfect outfit for those summer nights where you’re going to a nice restaurant or bar where a jacket isn’t required but you don’t want to look like a total slob. It features a crisp black polo paired with navy chinos and a pair of white sneakers. I’ve also added a cheap pair of shades that I own myself. I stopped buying expensive sunglasses because I constantly lose them.
1. Chinos: Uniqlo Men’s Slim Fit Chino Flat Front ($40)
2. Polo: H&M Polo Shirt – Black ($13)
3. Sneakers: Oliver Cabell Lows  White Sneakers ($178)
4. Sunglasses: ATTCL Aviator Sunglasses Black ($22)

Men’s Outfit Idea #4: Business Casual

Kicking casual attire up a notch is as easy as adding a great fitting charcoal grey blazer. You could also trade out a grey one with a navy blazer. When you want to impress but not go all formal pairing a charcoal grey blazer with, a nice broadcloth dress shirt, a navy knit tie, dark wash jeans, and oxford dress shoes is the way to go. And don’t forget the pocket square.
1. J. Crew Ludlow Slim-fit suit jacket with double vent in Italian worsted wool ($425)
2. J. Crew Ludlow stretch two-ply easy-care cotton dress shirt in solid ($70)
3. J. Crew 484 Stretch Japanese Denim Jeans ($98)
4. J. Crew Mercantile Knit Tie Navy ($44)
5. The Tie Bar Linen Pocket Square ($10)
6. J. Crew Ludlow Balmoral Shoes Black ($198)
7. Bulova Men’s 96B104 Stainless Steel Dress Watch ($105)

Men’s Outfit Idea #5: Time to Suit Up

If you’re going to a formal event you need to suit up. Even if you’re like me and don’t wear suits day to day every guy must have a great fitting suit sitting in the wings just for those moments when you have to dress to impress. This outfit includes a grey suit that fits properly, a properly tailored semi-spread collar dress shirt, a solid grey tie, dress socks and a pair of black oxford dress shoes, or brown derby wingtips, and a black belt. You’ll crush it in this suit.
1. J. Crew Ludlow Worsted Wool Charcoal Grey Jacket ($425)
2. J. Crew Ludlow Slim-fit suit pant in Italian stretch worsted wool ($225)
3. J. Crew Ludlow stretch two-ply easy-care cotton dress shirt in solid ($70)
4. The Tie Bar Grosgrain Solid Charcoal Tie ($19)
5. The Tie Bar Linen Pocket Square ($10)
6. J. Crew Ludlow Balmoral Shoes Black ($198)
7. Brooks Brothers Silver Buckle Leather Dress Belt ($98)
