OK, all you Shelby Cobra fanboys, today is your lucky day with the announcement of the 50th Anniversary Shelby Cobra 427 ($120K+). The 1965 original featured a Ford 427 V-8, but the anniversary edition won’t be coming priced with an engine. I guess you would call it a kit. It comes with a rolling chassis and features a fully independent suspension, disc brakes, anniversary logos and badging, a 23-gallon racing fuel tank and either a fiberglass body for the $120K or an aluminum body for $180K. If you want an engine you’ll have to pay an extra $50K for a 400 horse natural aspirated big block or $70k for a 700 horse version. If you want one of these bad boys, better act fast because only 50 will be made. And if you’re concerned with the $250K top end price tag, don’t be, it’ll be worth more before you get it home.
