A Pencil For Fifty Three’s Paper App ($60) is here and it looks like it’s the next piece in the puzzle for artists. The problem with drawing or writing using a tablet and stylus is that you really don’t get the feel and touch of writing on paper. But now it looks like Fifty Three has got that problem whipped.
First they released their away winning app that allows you to draw without having to worry about all the complexities under the hood and now they have a digital pencil. The pencil has such great features as a kiss feature that allows you to active the pen with your tablet simply by touching it to the screen. It also has palm rejection which tells the tablet whether it’s the pencil or your palm touching the tablet.
And erasing has made easy by simply flipping the pencil over and using the eraser, no buttons to press at all. Taking style cues from classic drafting pencil, it fits comfortably in hand and is natural to use. The pencil is available in either seamless black aluminum or solid sustainable walnut wood.
