The Atmo Sfera Platterless Turntable ($1010) was designed by a team of Italian Engineers who wanted to take the smooth, warm sound of vinyl to the next level.
To start, they took a classic design and revolutionized it by concentrating on only the vital components and by using the highest-quality materials.
The focus of their design was to reduce energy stored into the turntable base and platter. The energy that can impact the sound of the audio by causing buzzes, noises, and muddiness.
They did this by creating a tiny, light platter and combining it with a low-torque motor. This leaves the record almost floating in the air and generating almost no energy back to the record.
The integrated design includes everything you need. You don’t need to buy a phono pre-amp or an amplifier. Everything is included.
Additional features include a carbon fiber, statically balanced tonearm, two speeds (33/45), a small, low torque bipolar motor, driven by a synthesized, very pure sinusoidal wave, and Bluetooth stereo connectivity with an embedded RIAA preamplifier.
