Family homes do not have to be monstrous to be beautiful. The Fran Silvestre Arquitectos Balint House ($TBA) is a perfect example of this. Balint uses ellipticals to minimize the impact on the site. The home is located off of beautiful golf course near Valencia and it features a large main living area that includes a kitchen that overlooks a crescent shaped pool. Above that area is a large master bedroom suite with a roof terrace that overlooks the back of the home and two additional bedrooms. The home reminds me a futuristic spacecraft readying to take off at any moment.
